Machining

“A QUESTION OF SIZE”

Machining

“A QUESTION OF SIZE”

Machining

“A QUESTION OF SIZE”
We have an extensive range of machining capabilities. Manual lathes, mills and boring machines coupled with our growing CNC capabilities allows us to undertake a vast spectrum of machining.

Some information on capacities is given here, but if you are in any doubt we will be happy to advise on whether we can meet your product’s needs.

One of the more unusual devices in our collection is our vertical boring machine, which is equipped with a 6-foot chuck and an elevating rail to allow handling of very large components. It also has a hydraulic copier attachment for precise replication of any required shape.

Other factors in our choice of equipment include accuracy and efficiency, for which such aids as digital readout (DRO), computerised numerical control (CNC), live tooling and twin loading pallets are a great advantage.

Finishing

“THE FINEST OF FINISHES WITH HYGINE ASSURED”

Finishing

“THE FINEST OF FINISHES WITH HYGINE ASSURED”

Finishing

“THE FINEST OF FINISHES WITH HYGINE ASSURED”
We offer an extensive range of final finishes to meet end users’ needs and satisfy industry requirements. For example, we are a bovine free factory to comply with food and pharmaceutical requirements; we also have carefully selected partners to assist where specialist finishes such as marine spec paint are needed.

Where a durable and uniform matte finish is needed, our glass bead blasting facility is sealed to avoid contamination and will easily accommodate structures up to about 4 meters in length or breadth and 3 meters in height. At the same time, it can be used to give a high-quality finish to very small machined or welded components.

To create polished stainless steel finishes, we use a variety of hand-held air tools and a range of soaps and grinding media to obtain the appropriate surface quality. We have equipment to measure the surface finish and can give a certified RA reading if required.

In cases requiring additional processes such as painting, electropolishing, anodising, zinc coating or chrome plating, we prepare the surface as necessary and then work with specialist partners to apply the finish. Certification for these processes can be supplied where required.
